Established in 2012

Avery Rose Vineyards is now entering its fourth vintage of production, but this is a project that has been years in the making.  Winemaker/vintner Scott Beeber's great-grandfather made "medicinal wine" on New York City's Lower East Side during prohibition.  Growing up, Scott's family would gather around the bar in the basement of his grandfather's home retelling stories about how he used to deliver the wine to the Rockettes in Midtown Manhattan.  There were always a handful of different spirits on the shelf with different fruits and spices mixed in.  After dinner, the basement got a little rowdy and fun to watch as a kid. 

 

With those memories forever etched in his mind, he spent the last 18 years in California working his way through the producers of Napa thinking about how he could renew the family legacy and put his own unique stamp on winemaking.  With that, Scott and his wife Jody started Avery Rose.  The mission was simple: find the best fruit to produce the best single vineyard wines.
